Kamchatka is very rich in mineral resources: gold and silver ore, copper-nickel
with cobalt and platinum ore; mercury, coal, sulfur, perlites, obsidian,
pumices, volcanic drosses, raw material for cement production, zeolites, mineral
and thermal-mineral waters. However Kamchatka has not
its own ore-mining industry. Kamchatka has a very big interest in
attraction foreign investors.
There
are more than 300 gold deposits in Kamchatka. Ores practically of all deposits
do not contain harmful impurities and can easily be enriched. The gravitational
cyanic circuit provides extraction of 95-97%
of gold and 80-95% of silver. Almost all investigated deposits have high
percentage of gold (averagely it differs from 10 up to 43 g/g). Reserves of
predicted gold resources
in many deposits exceed 20 tons.
